In Div One there was the clash of ‘the big guns’, when Post Office & Eagles met. The former ran out 6-2 winners with Les Leech their star. Gazelles and Falcons had a great match with Falcons just edging it after a 14-12 in the fifth doubles victory giving them a 5-3 win. All games were either four or five legs. Derek Robinson starring for Falcons. Watling ’A’ and West Watford ’B’ drew, with Watling coming back from 4-1 down, and just hanging on in the doubles to win 13-11 in the fifth. No problem for Watling ’B’ who overcame Oxhey Hall ’A’ 7-1. Paul Phillips and Jordan Segal both unbeaten.
In Div Two, Oxhey Hall ’B’ suffered as their A team had also losing 1-7 to Kangaroos, who had Jack Pegram and Andy Wilson in fine form. Dale Nichol also played well for Iguanas who beat Jaguars 5-3. Audit ’A’ had Mike Sindic to thank in their 5-3 win over Watling ’C’.
There were no close matches in Div Three, with all results being 8-0 wins for Meerkats vs. Ospreys, Audit ’B’ vs. Newts, and Lions vs. Panthers.
In the Premier the matches were much closer contests. Abbots Langley just losing 3-5 to Aardvarks, who had Max Bonyadi in fine form. The same score saw Dolphins record their second victory in beating Cougars. Ricky Tarani of Dolphins unbeaten.
