A few of you (over 250 page views today) may have noticed a lively debate going on at the moment regarding the Annual Tournament. With regard to this debate I would like to take a bit of time out to just make a few salient points which I think would be valuable -:
- When a Blog post is passed to me for posting, although I might check it for accuracy as best I can, I will pretty much post as it is given to me, unless I feel it is overboard or distasteful.
- I do not as the publisher see it as my position to police or censor content, this is the leagues blog site representing the league members. Each league member should have the opportunity to provide news and express their view or opinion on the league's performance.
- My own comments (Chris Ogle) if made will take the form of responses to other members posts or my own posts clearly identifiable as my own.
- If there is a post which you feel you would like to respond to, you can do this at the end of the Blog post. There is a form, and you can complete this and the response will be posted immediately (currently this is without mediation, although I can delete those I deem inappropriate)
- To read comments made on other peoples posts, either look down the right hand side of the blog, there is a section labelled 'Recent Comments'. Alternatively Comments on a post can be viewed underneath the Blog post itself.
I am delighted that League members have started to participate and make comments about the running of the league. Lively debate will always ensure that everyone has a chance to air their views, and we will all have a better and more enjoyable experience as a result.....
As far as I know this is the first league in the country to be able to have this level of interaction and we should all 'pat ourselves on the back' for being part of a progressive league open to new ideas and embracing new technologies that can only help encourage particpation from the younger generation.
N.B. If you want to follow me on Facebook (I also post these entries onto facebook)... you can do so look me up "Chris Ogle" and on Twitter as "ChrisOgle"
