This match was between Premier Division, Aardvarks team of Max Bonyadi, Larry Gregory, and Geof Bax, and Division Ones, Watling ‘A’’s team of, Andrew Meisel, Graham Roland, and Graham Spooner, and was played in an excellent spirit throughout, and at the match’s end Aardvarks had gained a lead of 95 points, but would it be enough? Neither side thought they had done enough to win, so the awarded handicap was awaited nervously. The handicap is, wait for it 90 points, so Aardvarks are the winners.
The match had started badly for Aardvarks when Larry Gregory finished five points down to an excellent performance by Graham Spooner. From then on the class of the Premier team allowed them to build steadily up to the 95 points lead. Watling attacked whenever they could, and fought valiantly, but in the end just missed out by five points, a very small difference over twenty four legs.
