Thursday 22nd April 2010 the Baker Tilly Sponsored Watford & District Table Tennis Annual Tournament finals were held at Queens School.
On hand representing Baker Tilly were Pippa Kennedy - Marketing Co-ordinator and Mark Wilson - Managing Partner (and an ex-Watford Boys Grammar School student).
Below I have listed the order of play and for each event, pictures of the eventual winner, runner-up (when available) and the match score. Congratulations to all those who took part in what was a hotly contested evening, with some very close exciting games especially the Mens Doubles and the Womens single final.
Special thanks to Mark Wilson for presenting all the trophies, Geof Bax for once again organising the tournament (for which he received a small award) and for Sally and Jackie who were on hand to serve refreshments at the end of the evening.
The next major event is the Awards Evening on the 8th May... and then after that the AGM on the 24th May which is also promising to be a lively affair, don't miss these 'Must Attend' events, and remember you won't catch either of these on iPlayer !!
Below Tony Shapps is actually receiving an award for something like the greatest number of years between first appearing in the Watford Tournament and this appearance...
Tony actually lost the Division Two Singles final to Mitch Haynes and we unfortunately do not have a picture of that one, so Tony is on here instead.
